The prevalence of digital devices in today's world is both a blessing and a curse. Although connectivity has enabled most knowledge-based industries to continue operations during the pandemic, the availability of workers at all times and in any location has fueled the expectation that they can be "always on". Meanwhile, technology frequently dominates not only our working environment but also our downtime. How much tech use is "too much"? What are the signs that we should switch off and how should we go about doing it?

Lucy Colback
Editorial Director of the FT Women in Business Asia Forum

Lucy is the Financial Times’ former Asia Lex Editor, a role in which she used her 20 year experience as an Asia investment specialist to write commentary on financial market issues. She is currently researching and writing a book on the experiences of World War Two survivors, while in her spare time editing corporate governance-related publications. Lucy’s former roles include investment manager at Schroders and Asia equity research sales with Merrill Lynch. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Dr Linda Papadopoulos
Well-known and respected psychologist in the UK

Dr Linda is a hugely successful psychologist, author, keynote speaker, columnist, host and broadcaster in the UK who has built an outstanding reputation in both academia and broadcasting. She has extensive experience in the counselling of individuals, couples and families as a Chartered Psychologist. She has also established and headed post-graduate and doctoral programmes in psychology. She is currently an ambassador for Internet Matters, an NGO advising parents on how to help children navigate the online world.
